1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Aide Mémoire, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the application.

2. Description of Service

Aide Mémoire is a secure personal information management application that allows users to store encrypted data, and to share that enrcypted data with other app users. This data includes but is not limited to personal information, contact information, financial details, and legal documents.

3. Subscription Terms

Aide Mémoire offers a yearly subscription priced at £12.99 per year.

• Subscription automatically renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period

• Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase

• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period

• You can manage and cancel your subscription by going to your Apple ID account settings after purchase

• Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription

• Subscriptions are managed by Apple and subject to Apple's terms and conditions.

4. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your passwords;

• Ensuring the accuracy of the information you store; &,

• Using the service in compliance with applicable laws.

⚙️ You also acknowledge that deleting the app from your device data will permanently remove your stored information.

5. Data Security

Aide Mémoire employs military-grade encryption (AES-256) to protect your data. However, you acknowledge that no system is completely secure, and you use the service at your own risk.

⚙️ All data is stored locally on your device, and on the devices of those you have shared your profile with. Your data is only accessible using the profile password that you set when ctearting your profile. Aide Mémoire does not otherwise collect, store, or transmit your data to external servers.

6. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we handle your information.

7. Prohibited Uses

You may not use Aide Mémoire to:

• Store or transmit illegal content

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations

• Infringe on intellectual property rights

• Attempt to compromise the security or integrity of the application or other users’ devices

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aide Mémoire and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

⚙️ We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the availability, reliability, or accuracy of the app or the data contained therein. The app is provided “as is.”

9. Compliance with Laws

⚙️ You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of Aide Mémoire complies with local laws, including data protection and privacy legislation in your jurisdiction.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

11. Governing Law

⚙️ These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sweden and the European Union’s GDPR framework.
