Your privacy is our highest priority. This app is designed so that your data always belongs only to you, and the people you choose to share it with. Aide Mémoire does not collect, monitor, or distribute any information created or stored within the app, or monitor, track, or record who you share your information with. All your information remains entirely under your control.
We also do not monitor, collect, or store the information you enter into the app. This includes your personal details, financial information, account credentials, and end-of-life instructions. No background data collection or analytics are performed on any information you enter into the app, or on any profiles you may share with others.
⚙️ Subscription information is handled entirely by Apple through their StoreKit framework. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment information, subscription status, or Apple ID details. All subscription transactions are processed by Apple and subject to Apple's privacy policy.
All information is stored locally on your device. No information is transmitted to, or stored, on our servers, or any other external system. Your data is protected using military-grade encryption (AES-256) and can only be accessed with the password you set when creating your profile. Biometric authentication (Face ID or Touch ID) is enabled to ensure secure entry into the app, it does not superceed or replace any profile passwords — you are responsible for securely storing your password. Your biometric data is never transmitted or stored by us.
You have full control over your data at all times. Information can only be shared through the app's built-in export or sharing features, and only with recipients you personally choose. Those recipients cannot see your personal data until you provide them with the profile password. You do not need to do this at the same time as providing them with your data, ensuring your data stays protected until you are ready to pass on the password. We have no ability to view, recover, or transmit your data on your behalf.
Because your information is stored solely on your device (and on teh devices you choose to share it with), you cannot permanently delete data by uninstalling the app or clearing your app data.
As an EU-based user, you have the right to:
Access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time.
Withdraw consent to any data processing (though the app performs none beyond your device).
Lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority if you believe your rights have been violated.
If this privacy policy is updated, the new version will be made available within the app and on our website. Continued use of the app after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
